NEW TRACK UPLOADED BY C-NILE aka AFORI
Afori (formerly known as C-Nile) just released his first inspirational album entitled “The Master’s Piece” under his record label Cold Flame Ent on July 4, 2014 in an attempt to steer today’s youth in the right direction. His first 2 singles “I SURRENDER” feat MissJay & “SHOTS FIRED” are two POWERFUL songs that will definitely pierce the hearts of all who hear it & change lives!
Afori was raised in Roger Williams Projects, one of Mobile, Alabama’s most dangerous neighborhoods. Too much time alone for an idle minded teenager inevitably led to a path of destruction. He was shot for the first time at the tender age of 13 & four more times on 4 separate occasions by the age of 19. In 1997, he entered a local talent show just joking around & to his surprise won 1st place becoming the most well known rapper in the city of Mobile. Prior to making music he was just another drug dealer living a reckless lifestyle. He has released 4 albums, 1 mixtape, & has performed with a lot of hip hop heavyweights such as Lil Boosie, Yo Gotti, 50 Cent, TI, Jeezy & many more.
In 2003 after meeting with Cash Money Records CEO Brian “Baby” Williams discussing a possible record deal, Afori was indicted for Conspiracy to distribute drugs & was sentenced to 6 years in Federal Prison, but came home in 2008 a changed man. After his release, he gave up drug dealing & drinking in exchange for a sober, more meaningful life. In 2010, he met with Sway at Def Jam’s office as well as Sony Records executives Wayne Williams & Larry Campbell in New York & performed in their office which ended in a standing ovation, but the excitement was short lived. A few weeks after his return to Mobile he had a spiritual encounter with Bushwick Bill (a former member of Houston’s super group The Ghetto Boys) that changed his life & he walked away from those possible record deals to follow Christ.
He is no “New Jack” to the music industry & you can tell by the quality of his music as well as the richness in his lyrics. If you’ve been looking for some real hip hop with substance the search is over! Get ready world… he’s coming to a city near you soon!!!
