Kristopher Noël was born November 11, 1985 in Fort Worth, Texas. Raised in a Christian house hold, he developed a deep reverence for Christ in
his early childhood. At the age of seven, he began to take piano lessons from his grandmother. She noted his musical talent and taught him to read music. The piano would open up the door to other instruments such as the guitar and his voice. The hip hop culture played a major role in Kris’ development as a musician. He was intrigued by the idea of constructing his own musical compositions and began to make hip hop beats in his early teens. As he honed his beat making skills, he also became fascinated with the lyrical content of east coast hip hop. It was not until high school that Kris began throwing bars together and flowing over his own beats. He drew inspiration from rappers such as Nas, Mos Def, Talib Kwali, and Common.
After high school, Kris became heavily involved in hip hop culture. Although he started building up recognition and fame amongst his peers, he could not shake the fact that the life he led was opposite to that of his upbringing. He started to become someone he no longer recognized. Kris could no longer ignore that the road he walked continually lead him further and further away from Christ and his family. It was decided that he’d put away his music and focus on the Savior to get back to where he needed to be. After some time, Kris would go on to join the military where he would meet his wife, Jennifer. A strong woman of the faith, she exposed him to Christian rap to let him know that there was an alternative to listen to. As he listened to groups such as the 116 Clique and Cross Movement, he drew an enormous amount of inspiration from people such as Trip Lee, Da T.R.U.T.H, Flame, and Lecrae. As soon as his peers noticed that Kris’ new lyrics started to glorify Christ, he began receiving criticism. Realizing that Christ received the same treatment, Kris continued to elevate the Savior’s name through music.
Kris has worked with people like D-MAUB, K-Drama, Omega Sparx and DJ I Rock Jesus. Since then, he has traveled through the south and up and down the east coast opening up for people like Primisis, Young Noah, Derek Minor, Social Club, Tedashii, and KB. Having a fresh, unique, and lyrical style of flow, combined with out-of-the-box, eclectic musical production, Kris definitely stands out and brings something new to the industry. His upcoming Project, “STRAIGHT UP” which is filled with surprises is set to drop the summer of 2016. The main goal of his music is to enhance the Kingdom and elevate the name of Christ.
